Do you know what i mean by what i am saying? Look at Julians landscape shots to get an idea of maximizing DR in an image. He does a lot of exposure blending to max the range you see from foreground to background. It takes work to get it all out.

Its all about what you need out of the cameras. Its clear that the 5D3 corrects the banding flaws (at least to my eyes) which was my only real beef with the 5D2. If you shoot sports, the D800 ain't gonna be the horse you're gonna bet on, and vice-versa for landscape shooters.

Will, do you ever find that f/2.8 is too slow when shooting events? I personally shoot f/1.4 to f/2.0 when shootings weddings, but I wanted to get someone else's take on it as I've seen some people tote around the 24-105 f/4L indoors and use that with a flash.

Depends. F2.8 is only one stop slower than f2.0. I tend to use a little flash if needed, but I am pretty tolerant to noise so I don't mind using high ISO, my client's don't seem to mind either.

Adorama has no number for the 24-70 either, but B&H lists April 17th.

I am Chinese, so is my wife. That doesn't have much to do with it though. I don't think either my parents or my wife's parents care who we marry. (Both my wife's previous boyfriend and my previous girlfriend are caucasian) Well... I think they are more financially concerned than race. As long as the other family is a good family (aka good respectable job, maybe has money, lol).

hahaha... like I said I made arrangement for me to receive some money monthly for the next 2 years. GF's mother and Aunt is in Tokyo so we are pretty covered there too :D

Most Chinese family here discriminates Filipinos... they think all Filipinos are after their money or something like that. There's always a problem when you date/marry a non-Chinese person :lol:

If I leave and I don't bring much money with me at least nobody would think GF only wants my money :rolleyes:
