Really? Didnt even see that. Support up to 19mp cameras with direct raw support as well. For on the go basic editing it looks very impressive. Very lightroom and aperture like!

Adobe seriously needs to take their mobile applications seriously. Im not saying Apple will take them down but we have seen what happens when apple focuses on an industry. iPhoto is very impressive and they could easily bring aperture to the next ipad.

What do you mean about OG Raw settings? LR doesnt touch the RAW file beyond converting them to adobe DNG if you set it up like this (which i do because it is a much smaller file with all the data from the original RAW).

I just mean SOOC raw settings. I find LR always tweaks the exposure + color a tad bit plus it just does something to it that annoys me.

I am glad you did that. I personally LOVE animals and it is great to find other kind caring people. I find I desire to help animals above all else because most animals are in a tough position because of people and they truly have no voice. Animal rights and shelters have few lobbyists and political advocates.

I dunno - I hate HSUS - they have an animal rights/vegan agenda. Their push for "no horse slaughter" no condemns horses that no one chooses to buy to days of over-crowding, starvation and thirst while they are trucked to Mexico for slaughter (the people transporting them don't want to take a loss by providing adequately for them while traveling). There are humane standards for raising chickens (I use them), cattle, dairy cows, etc. You do not have to mistreat an animal to make it produce for you. In fact, the better you care for your animals the better the animal products are that you get from them.

When it comes to wild animals, unless they are obviously sick, etc., I kind of look at it as "I'm no their home turf," not vice-versa. In the end it is about respecting life (all life), not anything else.

If that's how it works, I should replace my lenses with a 50-500mm for 450 primes in one!

lol, not even close. It can be sharp, but you're starting around f/5. And it's not even as sharp as a good 100-400L

I would not say that about any other lens except the 70-200 II

I wouldn't say that about the 70-200 II either. What is it a prime replacement for? 200mm 2.8L? 135L? Maybe, but those are relatively cheap lenses to start. Stick a 1.4x II on the 70-200 II, and it's no longer spectacular. I'd take a 300 f4 IS L over the previous combo.

Be happy for the fact that anyone is paying attention to your birthday. One day you might wake up and realize that you forgot your own birthday and so did everyone else.

I used to hate my birthday parties. Me, my mom, and my cousin all had our birthdays on the same day. Grandma would host the party and there only was one cake that the three of us shared. We had to share everything.

Now, I'd give anything to have a birthday party with them again.

The reasons for me to buy a 300mm 2.8 lens would be:

Bingo
Knitting
Baking cookies
Shuffleboard
Putting up drywall
Planting tomatoes
Mowing the lawn
Anything else?You need a 800mm. :p

Well, I have refused to have the tests done but I've had a couple now, which suggests the spasticity and shrinking has started to cause reflux into my kidneys. I also tend to continually dehydrate myself to make my life endurable. So between the two, infections get pretty common. :(

Most days I won't drink ten ounces of fluids.

Doesn't matter. As long as a small handful turn out to be keepers, that's all that matters. We're not firing guns or shooting back in the days of film where we had finite "ammo". I can get a good 800+ images on my cards on a single battery, and I aim to have that many by days end. If I walk away with a dozen that I really like, that's a GOOD day.

I'll be doing the best I can for two or three days with lots of D-mannose (the sugar from cranberries because I'm supposed to avoid the cranberries themselves). Then Monday if things are still bad I'll call my PCP and get it taken care of with real drugs.

You can say that, but I hate feeling like I wasted my time. Lately I look at things and don't even like them. Maybe when we have kittens the cute factor will at least make me keep a few here and there.

Again a good night - just couldn't help but respond. Thank you everyone for your encouragement. I'm sure when I'm not sick my attitude will be better, too. Just like men, sick women get cranky and should only be approached with caution (and maybe chocolate, if they're up to it).

You need to get a 7d and just spam-shoot :D You're guaranteed to get a few keepers mixed in with the crap. My biggest concern is missing a specific moment because I end up with a bunch that aren't on focus. High-FPS bodies are made for people like us.

I just went through like 50 shots I took of a single bird that was difficult to lock on--I swear I went through a patch of 20-30 shots without a single keeper.

Hahaha, you wouldn't last 5 minutes at a UK university then. Just drinking all week long. Monday is even "student night" when you go out. Beers are £1 a pint :)

Sets you well for the rest of your life. :). That plus you can handle your beers.

Then you go to Ibiza in the summer. You sleep on the beach in the day, go back to the hotel, shower, get ready for the night out. 6pm-6am you drink and go clubbing, find a bird to shag (they all have comps about who can sleep with the most so even you would get lucky, nick ;)), go back to sleep on the beach... All cyclic.

You need a better alcohol tolerance.
