Hi, I'm wondering if anyone uses the Art Leather Albums for their weddings? The one in particular that I am interested in is the IMount album, where it is sticky and you put the photoraph right on the page. I'm wondering how well these work, do you cover your photograph with anything before putting it on the book, and if so what? Any of your help or opinions with Art Leather would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Lally

art leather are some of the best albums you can get
if you open an account w/ them - you get one album a year for display purposes... just make sure to peal off the made in mexico sticker on the inside cover - its very tacky

Yes, you are right. The sticky book with them is called Imount. They also make a matted version of this book to give it a really polished feel. Nice feel. Heavy, solid book.
We had been using Art Leather for their traditional albums, folios, Imount, and their foto fun books. Their albums are beautiful. The fun books were great and unfortunately discontinued with several other products during the past year.
As for the Imounts - you used to be able to order them in bulk. So you can grab a bunch and have them on hand and not deal with special orders. The photo attaches directly to the page and its insanely sticky - once it touches - its stuck. The entire center of the page is sticky, it isnt in strips, so its important to line up the image before placing it on the adhesive. There is usually something you can use as a gauge to visually line it up (seam, mat, etc). If you are a chicken you can use Millers to print the photographs AND assemble the AL IMount books for you. My wife has a steady hand, so she took care of it for us. Good luck!
Oh, one word of warning. Art Leather has never been known for their customer service. Great reps, but as a company, eh. But, it's gone even more downhill in the last year or so... quite possibly having something to do with their entering bankruptcy proceedings. So, great quality. Great reps (usually.) Occasionally scary customer service. :)
