RAW Questions

After following the RAW vs. JPEG debate on another thread I tried shooting RAW again.

The shots always come out darker/underexposed compared to JPEG's.

I realize you have the ability to change the white balance & exposure to adjust this but I'd rather get it close right out of the camera.

Am I doing somthing wrong?

Probably but with no details we'll need to take wild guesses as to what. Well I'm game - maybe you're doing a linear conversion? Wrong gamma?
