In image "sa3", what is the large building at the lower-right that has the four towers around it, and what are those towers for?

I also miss San Antonio, spent many years in the military, and many nights and weekends on the river walk.

Great photos of a fun town. I spent some months there in the military and loved the river walk and Breckenridge Park, not to mention the Alamo.

That large white building is the Alamodome...SA's attempt at getting an NFL team. Mostly used now for conventions, college football and high school playoff games. I think the Final Four was in there one year. The towers serve as a combination of support for the structure and visual appeal.

Thanks for that. Must be some kind of cable-suspended roof structure, I guess.

San Antonio is indeed beautiful, and you have captured it well. I used to head down there once in a while when I used to live in the DFW area. Hey do you remember that time when a ship bumped into a mall or something quite some years back?

That first shot is way cool. Very Velvia-like.
