Interesting, especially the starting price.
Not really anything new though, GoPro has several competitors already.
Edit:
And I've just looked more closely, not too good, the cheap model, forget it, the more expensive ones:
720p only - GoPro is 1080p
only 1 FOV available - GoPro has 3
MicroSD - GoPro uses SD
Waterproof to 60' - GoPro goes up to 180'
Built-in battery - GoPro has removable battery
Only saving graces are IS and price. This isn't intended to compete with GoPro I don't think, its intended to take the very low end market where there aren't really any options available at the moment.

just another action cam to go along with the DriftHD, ContourHD series, Kodak ZX series and a whole host of others.

I'm all about getting one of these in the near future so the more options (especially on the lower end) the better. I don't care about HD - just something to record my hikes, bikes and competition runs. :) What is currently the best? GoPro the leader?

I prefer the countourHD for the mounting options. As its more flush mount than a Go-Pro. Video is comparable. For hikes and runs the chest mount of the GoPro is really nice. Basically the quality is nearly all the same. The differences being the mounting system and the angle of view. I think the 170 degree view of the gopro is too wide which is why I like the 135 degree view on my countourHD GPS. So really look for those things as the quality is roughly the same especially since you dont care about the HD.

Thanks - that helps a lot! :) I'll take a look at both. I am not a huge fan of 170 degree view so knowing the contour is less, that may be for me.

you have to get the correct contour. Some of them are 170. I think the only one that isnt 170 is the ContourHD GPS. But double check for sure.

You have The option of 170, 127 or 90 degrees in 1080p with the gopro.
The thing I don't like about the contour is that you never have all of the features that the gopro has in a single camera. They've made 3 different cameras, all with useful features, but none with all the useful features in one, which is very stupid.
I do like the look of the contour more though. But I went gopro.
