Ok, what am I missing? I want to put that cool little picture (avatar) under my name for the forum. It says it needs to be at max 80 x 80 or 8kb. The smallest I can get my 80 x 80 jpg is 60kb and that's at a quality setting of 2. C'mon, help a fella' out, I wanna' be cool like you! :cool:

If you have photoshop, you can change to image quality when you are saving it. Slide the little slider down until you see the kb go below 100. I usually have to save mine at quality 5 in order to get them to upload here.

Actually had the quality down to 1 at one point and it was still too big. Found a helpful post about using "save for web" which somehow did the trick. See . . .there I am! Thanks!

Easiest thing to do is in photoshop, under File, select 'Save for Web,' and you'll end up with a smill GIF file that works just fine.
