I know that some sort of photoshop is going to be the overwhelming favorite in here, but what kind of device are you editing with and what software?

I am using cs5 on an hp laptop but this summer/fall i am changing a lot, i am going to pick up a macbook pro for coding purposes so i will obviously play with photoshop on there for a bit, but I wanted opinions from people that have worked on different machines.

Have any of you done any editing with the iPad apps?

What kinds of photos do you take?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

For bulk stuff - weddings, etc. or for culling the images I've shot - Lightroom is the ONLY answer for me. I use LR 3.6 64 bit.

For individual image editing - stock, commercial work, etc. or retouching one image for a large print, CS4.

CS 4 - Bridge and Photoshop. Personally, I learned Photoshop at my current job so using bridge was a no brainer.

Canon's DPP and Lightroom for RAW and most editing on Windows 7.
Occasionally I'll use GIMP for retouching faces.

Lightroom 3 for the vast majority of my work.

Photoshop CS5 for special projects that can't be handled by Lightroom, such as graphic design, specialty edits, or significant portrait retouching. I'd guess that maybe 1% of my keepers ever go from Lightroom into Photoshop.

Used DPP for a long time. Recently upgraded to Lightroom 4. LOVING IT!

Photoshop 6 for image manipulation, etc.

I am a hobbyist, targeting my son's sports, vacation scenery, and what not.

I solely use Lightroom for everything (but I do portraits and scenic the most.) I got PSE and hope to learn more about that for things like "cloning."

I do use DPP for initial culling, basic white balance/exposure modification, and conversion to TIFF.
