Hi. I just got my G2 a few days ago. I was previously using an S10. I now notice that even on Auto mode that my pictures appear to be blurred. There are some good shots but the G2 seems to be more sensitive to movement. With my S10 I used to keep on shooting. Is there a setting I'm missing here? Has anyone else been experiencing this? Does anyone know of any sites that has specific tips for using the G2?

I love the features just getting a little frustrated taking my shots.

Thanks in advance. Regards to all.

i can offer words of encouragement as i've just been going through the same thing myself! in fact, i also had a S10 (among others) and just got a G2 less than a month ago. i noticed the same exact thing...blurred pictures. i was stumped and kept thinking the camera was defective. others suggested that it was camera shake on my part and i didn't want to believe it because i thought i was pretty steady and, besides, i didn't have this problem with my S10 or G1. so, the next experiment i tried was to take a bunch of pictures handheld and then mounted my G2 onto a tripod and tried to duplicate those same pictures and then i looked at them on the computer...wow! it WAS me! long story short, i now hold the camera very, very still and s-l-o-w-l-y and deliberately press the shutter. it helps to take a deep breath and exhale right before the shot. or, mount it on a tripod or get yourself a monopod to take along with you (i've got one on my christmas list). of course, you can always shoot in shutter-priority and up the shutter speed to 1/100...it was also suggested to me that i switch continuous focus to single. i think the more you use, the more you'll learn the intricacies taking good pictures with the G2...it's a terrific camera. keep taking those pictures!
