First they got stoped by the defect detector at South Lyon, MI and had to walk their entire train. Took about two hours in the rain to fix. Next they get the clear signal all the way to detroit and end up stoping 4 miles east. Their second unit shuts down at Sheldon Rd about a mile west of the Plymouth diamond. They walk back to it and it is all covered in oil. The engine blew up. This is a candian train and has to go through the Dertroit/Windsor Tunnel with sort power. The call the dispatcher and ask for another engine, the dispatcher calls back and says the candians say they should make it up the hill on the other side. The train was about 115 cars long and my experience says they would not make up the hill. I dont pick the tunnel dispacher so I don't know what happened to them, but my guess is they got stuck in the tunnel. Poor guys.

Anyway here is the shot you can sort of see the oil all over the second unit. By the way the thrid unit was dead in tow with brake problems.

I was in Berea, OH last winter, some time in the middle of the night and saw a glowing wheel. It was from a stuck hand brake. My friend cought it on video. It was a pretty cool sight.

I think that is what caused the big derailment in Mississauga, Ontario and the evacuation of 250,000 people.. chlorine gas and fire don't mix well..
