Thanks :) It's my cousin's car, a BMW 328i, taken with my 350D with kit lens. I found that the image becomes much sharper at f/9 and numerically greater.

Hi guys,

I finally made it! My first shoot!

The car is a FIAT Punto HGT (900 kgs 130/150 BHP).

First of all, the shoot wasn't really planned at all. I just had some idea of a few roads that could be interesting (low traffic), but I didn't really planned anything. Nor did I have a plan of what to shoot. Major mistake! Next time I will definetly make a plan of what photos I would like to make, and stick to it.

Then, I was planning to make a normal shoot, but in 15 minutes it changed from bright sun to a very heavy rain. This took me by surprise and the light levels dropped suddendly, making me remake the little planning that I had. I was planning for some car to car shots but never made them.

Nonetheless, this shoot really taught me a lot, and I'm sure some of the mistakes I did on this one won't be repeated, namely, almost complete lack of planning.

Please critique the following photos. Be as strict as possible.

haha, thanks FlipFlop... i've done it once before in the past myself.. but then I tried taking that weird blue haze away (by the headlight) and but the time i was done - making it all worse- i had made so many changes to the pic i didnt have enough undo options left in photoshop to leave just my reflection out... just didnt have time to fix it again tonight

yeah, i took you out of the pic, then once i hosted it again, and posted i was like what the hell is that blue thing!!!!! i didnt even see it the first time around..... haha

Hi, thanks! The photo was taking in a layby on a local road, they're simply the lights from cars and the high lights are from trucks.

They're still going strong in Japan :) It's a Toyota Grande owned by a good friend attempting to bring the trend to NZ :)

the bosozoku scene is pretty much dead in Japan... Everyone that was into it are all old now and went to VIP scene. I see them every once in a while at some meets, but not in a full pack like back in the 80s.

well, glad to see its well alive in New Zealand :p. I havent seen a big meet lately, but always liked how they mod cars. And looks like you got everything down but one thing....you need an oil cooler in front of hte bumper :p.
