Hi Square!
Great pics! Makes me miss the sunset in Manila Bay much more. It's a good thing that you were in the club rather than just outside... I hear that the streets aren't that safe these days.. especially when you are lugging your gear! Did you use any filters?
Can't wait to get home for the holidays and have some of the Club's calamares.
Cheers!

Nice pic - looks like it was taken from the dock rather than from the clubhouse.

Thanks dgcorner and BottomBracket!
It was taken between the entrance and the clubhouse of MYC. I didnt use any filters, just long shutter speed :)
The streets are ok, as long as you know where to go :P We had a German friend who visited us, he even went to the shanties to take some photos. But I'm sure you will be terrified with the traffic, specially on the holidays! hehehe.
Goodluck and safe trip!
Cheers!

hi kababayan,
good photos. i lovethe colors!
i think thought you might have overexposed it a little bit. especially with the sky.
i encounter this problem a lot when i shoot sunsets. what i usually do is set the camera on a tripod. first i take one shot exposing for the sky and the other expose for the foreground(anything under the sky). then combine both photos in photoshop. its tedious but it works.
once again, good work!
by the way, is that place anywhere near roxas boulevard?

Kabayan,
Thanks for the advise. Maybe you can post your similar work so thati/we can visualize.
Yes, the place was taken in Manila Yacht Club, it is along Roxas Blvd. (formerly Dewey Blvd.) The lights over the break water is the Manila harbour and to the right of that is the U.S. Embassy.
Cheers!
