Well done mi lad ! No pretense nor belabouring in that shot, just simple and fast, the way our experience of those tunnels is.

This colouring is just at the edge of plausible so it does not detract from the image.
I think you are right not to use weird colours....good ideas, compositional creativity and fine photo technique is where the real challenge is. Anybody can wack up colours in Photoshop.

Our friend Condyk of Wessex has a sharp eye (and wit;) )does not he? Not much escapes that eye, I'd say.

Very nice, I think it has a tarnished copper look. Now is that half face that of your friend's or a stranger's? It's funny how people someimes don't realize they are in the field of view of a wide angle lens.

The original does nothing for me, I look at it, and I see just a picture of a tunnel. The processed version however, says something. The lighting works to convey the sense of harsh lighting and artificial environment much better than the original version does, and ultimately is why I don't think you should make apologies for your use of post processing. You could have a regular shot of a somewhat interesting subject that is true to life, or you can have a shot that conveys feeling and emotion and is truer to the message you were trying to convey than the "realistic" one. Ultimately, good art is good art, bad art is bad art, how you accomplished that art does not increase or take away from its merit.

And to restate the obvious, I love the first version. How did you process this? Hue Saturation adjustment with the "colorize" box?

Thanks elTwitcho :D

Played with Dodge, Burn, Desaturated Saturated parts , Then I played with Hue, Brightness , Shadow and lighting, I was just messing about with PS can't remember all the steps but it was mostly them what I used, maybe curves too?, As you can see the faces are standing out pretty well, With out PS I would not of been able to bring out the faces as well with just the camera,

The reason why this is called faces is the idea behind the image,
Is every one walks pass each other on a day to day bases,
Not even taking notice of each other when every one is different in a special way and we dont take note of that, That was my main idea I was going for, to show this feeling i thought i would bring down the colours and make the faces stand out, to give you that emotional feeling well try to :D,

I love the PP one. It makes a really nice surreal atmosphere to an already somewhat surreal looking environment. Well done! :)
