Been tossing around the idea of finding a new job. I've really got no experience other then nearly 7years retail experience and 1 year of police dispatch. I really can't stand doing 911 calls anymore. The stress is unbelievable.

I'de like to somehow get into anything entry level photography. Whenever im out takin pics im at peace and never stress. Well maybe, it i can't get the shot i want.

Where can I look for anykind of job? Newspapers rarely have anything, i've searched online and more online job sites aren't to specific with photography.

Can anyone help?

24 views & no answer yet! Have you considered telling us where you live & what type of shooting you consider yourself good at? A link to a gallery might help, too.

One good free gallery is the one I linked to in my sig. Try it.
i'll see if i can get a portfolio going, It can be as few as 5-6 kick-a** prints, anywhere from 8X10 to 16X20. Costco makes 12X18" prints for $2.00! At the top of the page, search the word portfolio for lots is links to info.
Once you have a few good prints, look around N.J. for commercial/advertising photographers. Try to meet a few & ask thier advice. Maybe they need a paid assistant (NOT an easy job!). Maybe they could use an unpaid 2nd or 3rd assistant. Hope you have a strong back! ;)

Definitely get your work online. I have several local photographer friends that have gotten offers for (paying) work based on someone local finding their online gallery. I'm cheap and use pbase, but these folks all have their own domains/sites. One of these days, I'll get off my duff (and wallet) and put something more dedicated up.

Look for a local camera club and check out a couple of meeting. Having live, local photogs around to network with may help, too. I've already had a couple of jobs thrown at me that one of the others didn't have time in their schedules for.

Im going to go thru all the pics i've taken thats not on photobucket. I've got more saved then actually online. To me i dont call photobucket a gallery or anykind. To me its just a place to host them so i can post them.

But i'll be at work in a lil bit and i'll do a lil loooking around for online galleries/portfolios.

True, but it's a good place to put a few shots, then direct someone to it with a link like http://************/4sajg which fits nicely on my card. I don't sell work from the gallery. I sell myself with it, and face to face contact.
Different strokes...

Well i didn't have much time at work to look at some galleries/portfolios. But it gave me an idea. Im going to see if i can get all my fathers slides onto cd/dvd's and get them put into a gallerie in his memory.

He is what got me into photography and he has some incredible work.
