hi there!
i have had an Olympus D-520 for some time,
but i am a little dissapointed with the iso-sensitivity,
that lies somewhere around 100...
My father has asked if he could buy my camera, - he has borrowed it and is happy with the simple handling, as it is basically a point-and-shoot - and i should get me a new one, so naturally i will look for one with a higher sensitivity..
my question goes like this:
will this camera automatically set the sensitivity to a higher level (400?) if the light-conditions are critical,
or do i have to do it manually? the flash-range will also increase dramatically with a higher iso-setting i guess.
say, i want to take a picture of something far away in bad-light-conditions?
and is there a visible difference (noise) from iso100 to iso400?
thanks from kasper

Can't speak directly to your model, but on advanced cameras like the Pro90, setting ISO to automatic lets the camera select between ISO numbers of 50 and 100 only.

I'll bet your user manual has more information on the specifics of your camera.
