I'd call your shot "Generation gap".;)
Either way, it is a fine shot which exempliefies your keen eye as well as a non doctrinaire approach to photography.
The colours seem just about right which bespeaks the restraint you have deployed when PP'ing. ;) It would have been so easy to slip into B&W in this theme...... being ostensibly an old photog salt, you have resisted the pressure of a cliche, which is to your credit.

Good title but maybe adds a tad of tension when really we're very much in balance and harmony here. B&W won't suit this shot for the exact reasons you state. Minimal PP ... I'm in the same school as your good self. A subtle wink of PP not PPants off and show you bum to everyone.
