I would appreciate your help with this one

Help not needed.
Well maybe a lighter background so that her hair does not disappear on the background, or a hair light from the rear. I like the lighting, maybe just a tad lower to decrease shadows. Do it again.

As Davidfig said, other than a hair light, I don't see much that could help it. I like it a lot
the way it is, very sexy and elegant. Nice job.

There are some things, and people it would seem, that don't need messed with. The image is just right, imo. I think there is some rule about model comments, so I can't tell you how stunning she is.

I like it a lot! Lighter background would highlight her hair as her hair tends to blend into the background.
But, a very good portrait indeed!

Agree with the post about the background - other than that - great!

another vote for a hair light. You can leave the black background, but the hairlight would pull her out of it.

Another vote for the hairlight. The model is absolutely stunning, and you've captured her beauty quite well.

Thanks heaps for the input. I did not want to light the hair asI thought it would attract from the natural beauty of her face

My, my, my, just what kind of help is needed?
I agree with the vast majority here...none needed.

Ive never really liked the whole black background with models with black hair look. I would recommend more lights highlighting her hair. The more of her we see, the better, because she is absolutely gorgeous.

Sorry to be boring, but like most people - would like a hairlight, but I think black hair with a hairlight against a black background works really well. Great shot!

I think the hairlight is needed as well, and I also think the slight tilt in her head makes me shift my own head...:) but as many have said, your model is beautiful...

Another vote for a hairlight or a slightly lighter background. Also the shirt is too colorful for the black background. The shirt should have been a single color. it's a little distracting. more then anything a hairlight could've done.

just have her use the same makeup on her hands as is on her face, you skip a lot of PP work
the way her hair just barely shows against the dark background is beautifully natural
a lovely mood here and the choice of colors brilliant!

I like the picture as is. I probably would have cropped the top and the bottom just a little bit more so that you wouldn't have the "space" there! Other than that beautiful composition, beautiful model!

Not sure what you need in the way of help, if the photo is the way you want it.
I could go on about the need for light behind head, or mention that you should have the whole photo is focus, but since its just about her face, you should crop it just below the necklace, and bla bla bla.
Dude it's a very good photo.
I've shot a lot of glamour/boudoir photos like this with one light. The ladies like them.
I think the colors in her shirt add contrast and warmth to the photo.
Would be interesting to see your final crop.

Holy cr*p! I've been watching this thread from the start and it just dawned on me who this model looks like - Shannon Elizabeth.

The only thing that bothers me is the shadow under her nose. I think that's the result of a single overhead light source. A little fill light from below the nose level would eliminate or soften that shadow, and put a little more light in her eyes and on her hair. But, really a nice shot as is!
