Hi Guys!!!

Just wondering where I would post an image (PP in PS) for critique, tips, suggestions and advice not just on the photo, but on the PP done to the image. Would this be the correct forum/thread?

Here's a little something I did for my wife .. the plant sits right outside our home.

Thanks (in advance) for your valued assistance.

Regards,
Dave

I think your wife will love it!
Looks very nice, the only thing I can thing which may or may not improve it would be a different font on the lettering. Maybe something softer?

Thanks for the response my friend. When you say something "softer" are you referring to the text/font, or maybe having it fade more into the image itself?

Dave

I really like it, and I'm sure she will too, but I think the font is a little... well I don't know, modern? Try some sort of calligraphic font or something. (http://www.dafont.com) has sone really neat fonts. Also, in the middle, the opacity makes it look like the text merges with the flower. Of course, my monitor is probably screwed up.

But I like it.

I have to agree that the font kills the fantastic picture... calligraphy or some French script might be the way to go... but that's just me.

Softer, as in rounder, more feminine. Cursive like suggested , something not quite as hard lines:)

The picture is lovely. The font is, as has been mentioned, a little 'gravestone' like. Try to use lower case to make it more friendly too.
I tend to read it as 'with deepest sympathy' at the moment.

OK, thanks for the valued feedback guys. Now I know what needs to be done and will look into it further. Lauxin, thanks for the font link -- I'll bookmark it.

Dave

The picture is beautiful but there is a little yellow burnt out leaf near the center which bugs me. I think the font is a little big.

I'll need to experiment some more and try different effects. I'm no pro at this, and am trying to learn the many capabilities of PS. Clearly PS has a heafty learning curve of its own. :-(

Here I photographed a rose, my wife's birthday was October 16th and decided to try something different (notice I didn't say good -- just different) . :-)

Sorry for the poor quality stuff .. just learning as I go along. ;-)
