I finally got around to taking a few shots of this car. My lighting setup isn't the best. All I have is a small (1') overhead flourescent and a dimly lit room. I used the onboard flash along with a slow exposure.

Good start! Keep at it! Have you seen these studio lighting tips? FAQ - Studio Lighting (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=66140) I tried to keep them simple so that anyone could try them out.
I suggest that you leave more room at the front of the car to give it some "room to move in".
The last shot looks a bit like a studio drama shot. Try bouncing some light into the front chrome & grill with a white card.

Thanks, I'll check them out. I knew lighting would be poor, but I was anxious to try. I did have a reflector that I borrowed from a friend for a photo shoot of my kids and I forgot to use it here too. I also want to shoot some of my "old" 1/24 scale plastic models and some vintage Lionell trains too.
The originals had some extra room, I just cropped it a bit tight.
