Well, I'm sure you are aware of the new G5 recently announced by Canon. According to preliminary reports, it is exactly the same as the G3 except the G5 sports 5 MP and a black finish. I don't know about you, but if they skipped the G4, they damn well better put some sweet upgrades to the G5.
So, here's what I'd like to know. What should the G5 have in terms of features and such to be the ideal G5? Here's my ideas:
- 5 Megapixels CCD
- 5X Optical Zoom with 5X Digital Zooom 25X Combined Zoom
- Carl Zeiss Lens.
- 2" LCD Scxreen
- Sony's InfoLithium batteries. C'mon, the Gx series' battery indicator is lousy.
- Sony's AF Hologram. I hear it's much better.
- Sony's NightShot and NightFrame
- Ship with 64 MB CF card.
- FireWire and USB 2.0 support. USB 1.0 is too slow. And with FireWire, you can charge and power the G5 without an A/C adapter.
- Ability to record beyond 3 minutes of movie clip, limited only to CF space,. Plus, be able to adjust zoom.
