Way cute idea :) don¡t know if plastic dishes will change the flash light temp, but the idea is wayyy cute.
I guess the flash has to be used in manual mode in that way?

cersil, how do you set the flash in that mode? manual and regulate its output?
BTW, does the plastic mug support completely the flash? it seems to be hanging in the air...
Tip: leave the mug handle, that way you can grip the right side of the camera with your right hand and the mug/flash etc assembly by the former plastic mug handle :)
anyway, great genius, kudos cersil!

>cersil, how do you set the flash in that mode? manual and regulate its output?
I can regulate in AV mode at f8 for max depth of field. In this mode the flash
can work in E-TTL then automaticaly provide the correct intensity light. It sets
the speed between 1/60 and 1/250 in function of the light of the ground. Usually
it sets at 1/60. This have an advantage: the ground is not black, but disadvantage too:
if insect or leaf or flower is in motion the shot come moved. Samtimes the automatism
not work properly in this case have to compensate it. All this by camera.
Otherwise I can use manual mode set at f8 at 1/250 or minus with ND internal filter on.
Of course in this case I must regulate the intensity of flash manually by the sixteen positions
place at s.o' disposal by the G3 camera for external flash 420EX.
>BTW, does the plastic mug support completely the flash? it seems to be hanging in the air...
The plastic mug support partly the flash, you must support it also with your left hand.
But anyway all is enough united.

Tank you very much, but it is too much for me.
