Hi, I recently bought an S45 and after a honeymoon period of a couple of weeks started to experience problems with corrupted files on the camera.
Along with the supplied 32Mb Canon card I bought an extra 128Mb card (Fuji). Initially it seemed the corruptions were occuring only on the Fuji card, but after a while some images were corrupted on the Canon card as well.
I had formatted the cards before each use.
After contacting the shop I bought it from they advised me to return it to them for repair by Canon under warrenty. I got the camera back last weekend after repairs had been carried out, rushed out to test it; results.... Canon flashcard OK, Fuji two corruptions in approx 20 shots.
Contacted shop again to be informed it could be the flashcard and are sending on a Scandisk card to try, not totaly convinced contacted Canon direct but they were evasive.
Anyone else had similar problems or advice what to do to stop these corruptions?
Tony

Had the same problem with my A70. Called canon and they did nothing but offer to fix it under warrenty. I tried a scandisk 256, scandisk128, generic 256, and the canon 16 CF card and they all had problems. Used the same card on my friend's s40 and s230 and they work fine. I was convinced that my camera was having the trouble. Returned it within 30 days. Got my new s400. Haven't tried anything yet but I hope everything will be ok.

One thing you may want to try is to ONLY FORMAT THE CARD IN THE CAMERA! I have the same problem with my A60 if I format any card in my card reader.
