I have been selling photos for some time now. Mostly in frames and with a logo sticker added to the back.

Being naive about how to present/sell photos I didnt think about numbering them and adding an authenticity card to the back.

I'm wondering how many number photos, as in, #999 out of 1000 prints on front, and how many add authenticity to the back?

Basic prints just get a sticker. Limited edition prints get numbered, labeled and signed.

I sign mine regardless, plus put a sticker not only on the frame but on the the backing as well. That way if they decide to change frames for whatever reason, my info is still with the image. Just remember, if you decide to do limited editions, once you sell one, you can't change your mind and go back to unlimited without opening yourself up to legal action.

thanks for the input ...both of you have answered pretty much what I was wondering.
