I stumbled across this on another fourm. The videos on this page are really cool. They are selecting the focus point AFTER the shot has been taken. I wonder how long before we consumers see stuff like this available?

It sure is an interesting concept.
Some have been saying that it's an irrelevance because of the very low resolution- but it's likely that the microlens array could be improved dramatically

Ron, isn't that what they said a while back about digital? Its irrelevant because of its low resolution? This could be a hint of what is coming down the pike. Very interesting.

Ah! it just clicked in my rather slow mind why he is using a huge back on a full frame camera-
it could be so that they have potential shallow DOF to work with. I presume this idea would be of little use on a small format camera where allost everything is allready in focus anyway?
