View Full Version : Sandisk 64GB CF : Extreme vs Extreme Pro

I am buying some new cards for my new 5D Mark III and I am going to buy a 64GB CF card to go with it.

Trying to decide if it is worth it to pay the extra $$$ for the Extreme Pro CF card vs the Extreme CF card for the difference of 30MB/sec.

I am shooting video some, buy mainly used for shooting stills at weddings.

Any input is appreciated. :)

30mbs Extreme is MORE than enough for video. heck, even 15 is plenty. It wont make a difference (if not at all) on your 5D III when comparing 60mbs vs 90mbs (extreme pro)
You’ll be fine with 30 or 60mbs for just about anything on 5DIII. People that need Extreme pro are the big dogs that do very high quality video work at high frame rate.
I have 60mbs and 90mbs CF cards and they’re all awesome.

Not quite 50% off, but anyway. I picked up a couple 32GB's as well.
