Here is my current workflow:

1. Copy images from CF card to Raw Images folder.
2. Batch convert Raw images into DNG files in DNG Archive folder. These files will later be moved to archive media.
3. Do ACR processing on Raw images and save the result in Photoshop Inbox folder as .psd files. Raw images are deleted at the end of this step.
4. Do Photoshop work on image files in Photoshop Inbox and save output to date categorized subfolders in Edited Photos folder.

Does this seem reasonable? Am I missing anything, or do I seem to have redundant steps. In other words, I want to make sure that what I am doing is a good approach. If not, I'd like to change it sooner than later.

Why throw away the RAW?...it is somwhat analogous to throwing away your negatives.

The advantage of keeping RAW file is that in the future some company may come up with a much better way to more accurately interpret the RAW data, or you might want to reinterpret the scene (in changing the color balance you can change the mood of the same shot).

Since I have a DNG archive with embedded Raw files, do I need to keep the Raw files too?

DNG is a RAW file, just one which is promoted as a 'public' format. So since you have DNG, the RAW would be superflous. I can't think of a reason to keep the original RAW around.
