10D remote shutter release

I have found the 3 Canon brand releases, and of course the wireless would be nice, but this is just for fun. All of them look overpriced to me, especially since the wired ones have only 2.6' cable. Are there 3rd party releases that will work with the 10D?

I agree - the timed remote is $200CAN. It seems a bit excess.

I am hoping (maybe dreaming?) some hot shot programmer develops a palm version of the remote capture - that way I can just hook up my palm via the usb cable and do the same thing the timed remote does.
