Does anyone use a Stroboframe Flash Bracket or any flash brackets they recommend for the G1 with a 420EX flash? If so, what is the best or ideal model for the G1. I shoot lots of people pictures vertically with the 420EX flash mounted on the camera. The side shadows bug me a lot. The flash brackets would seem to fix the shadow problems. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

I use a Newton flash bracket that I bought to shoot a friends wedding a year or two back. The top part of the bracket flips through 180 degrees so that the flash is always directly above the lens, regardless of whether you shoot in horizontal or vertical format.

Black metal with nice'n'comfy foam grip. Cost about $100 Canadian. Works fine with Canon off-camera shoe cord 2.

I use the Stroboframe with a 420ex. Works dandy. Beware of one thing. The screw needs to be tightened when nothing is mounted on the frame. Lost a screw on vacation. Company graciously replaced part for free.

Bracket gets flash up high so red-eye is rare. Also allows sideways shooting with flash in appropriate position. Makes it much easier to hold G1.
