What to do when i get it (A70)?

Just about to get my camrea.

Ive heard alot about stuffing up the instilation. I know not to have the camera plugged in when instaling the initial software. When i plug it in after a restart, should the camrea be on?

The first use of the camrea is my main concern, should i format my CF before using it?

I know to charge the re-chargable's before putting them in, is there anything i'm missing?

Suggest you -
- Load the Canon software first, (follow the s/ware instruction book)

- To make the USB connection after S/ware load, ref to p.168 of the Camera User Guide.

Read the Camera Quick Guide, it covers the basics.

- Have a quiet read of the Camera User Guide, it seems to cover everything.

I formatted the 16Mb CF card before using it, following the instructions in the camera guide. (p.134)
