Well, I finally performed a focus test on my Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG Macro. It is clearly front focusing at 24mm. I assume it is bad enough that I should return it?
24mm, F2.8, 1/250s, ISO400

70mm, F2.8, 1/320s, ISO400

I see 'em just fine and yes it does seem to be misfocusing.

I can see the images - i'd either get it replaced or calibrated myself, it's unacceptable as is. I take it you did it properly, used a tripod, repeated the tests a few times each, and changed the focus manually between test runs?

Wonder why I can't see them?

Yes I used a tripod, took several images and changed the focus manually between images. I assume this is correct.
I actually performed the test at some zooms between 24mm and 70mm. The focus point got better the closer I got to 70mm.
