Hi everyone, was out and about yesterday taking some photos at a reserve not to far from home, trying new things again, was a little bit windy and overcast and not much about, which would sit still that is. So heres another fly pic, had 1/2 a dozen shots before it went on it's way. iso 1600, f10, 1/160sec, exposure compensation -2/3. and ran it in neat image.c and c welcome, thanks for taking a look.

Excellent shots- you are doing really well with these natural light shots.- Notice in #2 you have captured the hairy eyeball syndrome.

Agree with Brian about you getting the bacon with natural light! Is #2 a crop from #1?

Thanks Brian V, I'm finding each time I go out I learn something new, and i'm amazed at their hairy eyes, you'd think they'd pluck them.:)

thank you BigAl, yes, number 2 is a crop from #1, I was playing around with the composition and felt #2 looked better.

Now that's what is called fine art
Very good composition and utilization of natural light
may be some colour control would be nice , to minimize the pale action of the overcast light
Noticed the hairs in the eyes ???

I love your macro work here. It's simply fantastic. Every detail and hair of the fly is minutely detailed sharply!!!

Nice to hear they have reserves for flies   #2 is a great looking photo.
Just reread - ISO1600 - so you were using natural light - even better. Wonder if D200 could match that?
