Greetings all. Last weekend I had a "Day On The Green" in the Hunter Valley wineries at a concert that featured Ian Moss, Renee Geyer and Joe Cocker. Took along the trusty 300D and my Canon 75-300 USM lens (and a tripod of course). Did these shots from about 150 metres from the stage - at night - with the camera set at ISO1600, shutter speed of 1/100 and aperture of f5.6. Worked for me. Just a little post-production but not a significant lot. Enjoy

OMG he's still going.

I like no.2 although the lighting looks great on No.1

Hmmmm. I dunno how to take that Kev. You mean that "I" can't take a bad shot, or it doesn't matter who you are any shot of Joe will look good? :) LOL

I got his latest CD "Body and soul" and was it good...
of course, if you do not like Clapton, Beck and Lukather or top-notch R&B, you should buy something else

he might be old but he does it in style
(and with a heart)

Okay, you asked for more. Not a lot of variety really as Joe stood in the one spot on stage and I sat in the same spot on the green.

Just to put a bit of variety into my posting - I've included a shot of Renee Geyer and her band and a shot of a couple in the crowd grooving to Joe early in his set just as the sun was going down. Note the Cocker tee-shirt - $40 a throw. Good marketing.
