These arches near Sedbergh are part of a now dissused railway.

Lovely shots. I like the way you've framed the tree in the first but I have to admit that #2 is my favorite. Lovely colours and a tranquil scene.

IMO it's a shame the railway line is now disused. Maintaining that bridge for running over would probably be beyond the resources of a preservation society though.

Thankyou Mark.
This line was one that ran from Ingleton and connected with the North West main line at Lowgill, crossing many bridges and roads along the way. So yes it would soon bankrupt any preservation society in a short time.
But it wouldn't be wonderful to see a steam train crossing that lovely valley?

I prefer the second, as well. Nice colors in both.

Someone can only admire the architecture and skills that was needed to build it.
These days,well,steel and cement.

Really like the first one Alan, It's framed nicely within that arch, with a nice blue and cloud backdrop also like the angle of the foreground grass bottom right. Spring shot?

Good capture

Number Two, the green does it! Although I do like how the tree is framed by the arch in number one.
