I will be submitting this photo for a local Photo competition and would like to ask your inputs weather professional or personal regarding the two images. I would very much appreciate your criticism as well as any advise that can improve the images. Thanks in advance.

Interesting architecture.

The B&W needs more contrast between the building and sky. I just think it could use a little more punch.

Thanks Matt. Does it mean you like the B&W compared to the color?

Very nice images. The vignettes bother though

Thanks Guari. Aside from the vignette, which image do you think captures the architecture of the building? the B&W or color?

I think a b&w could be quite striking, but I'm in agreement this rendering needs more "pop!" try getting more of a black sky "Ansel style" and see how you like it. I would aim for a lighter building shade and leave the brush below to serve as a mid tone, between the dark sky and light shaded cement. Do that and I think you'll find the vignetting unnecessary. Besides it sort of contradicts the outward explosion of building boxes, seemingly trying to confine them, if I make myself clear.

The color is good, but I think when you nail the b&w you'll prefer it. I'm a bit mixed on the two tall trees on top, whether they should be cloned out. Hmm?

Thanks a lot for your comments Kevan. Much appreciated. I will try to fix the sky and make it all darker rather than the vignette and make the building a bit brighter. Hope I can do it :) Thanks again for the feedback.

Hi shuteer

Can't really say, i like them both. However i have my wife just by my side and she says the bw looks much more abstract as it becomes harder to realize it's a house (if it is indeed a house), the colour is more straightforward. If you do use the bw i would suggest to lighten up the vignettes, reduce the blue channel luminance and increase the contrast.

Of course, just our humble opinion

good enough. I am new to B&W processing and still learning. Tell you wife, thanks a lot for her inputs. It's actually a building/housing complex. I will try to give it a shot with everyone's inputs and hopefully i can do it right. thanks again.

Sorry, didn't answer the question lol.

Yes I like the B&W. It gives a more abstract feel and makes you look around more and take it all in.

Where is this? Is it a house?

Love it, far more contrast between the building and sky. Gives the building more pop.

Sorry I'm late responding. Yuh knocked it out of the park.

But do you like it?

I do think taking those trees out helped.

I actually do and my wife likes it as well. Thanks for your advise. It really helped me a lot considering I'm new to b&w - much appreciated ;)
