i have a G2 with a 420ex speedlite. i've been using the 420ex bouncing the flash off our ceiling at home and want a sto-fen omnibounce to spead the light around even more. however, there are times when we're out and about that the ceilings are way too high for the omnibounce and have been considering the lumiquest pro-max system for those situations. does anyone here have both? does the velcro required for the lumiquest interfere with the ability to snap on the omnibounce? any other advice regarding one or the other or both diffusers appreciated. thanks

The leaflet in the Sto-Fen package says that you can use it in the straight ahead (no bounce) position, providing you are using TTL metering.
I've tried a variety of settings and angles and have found that when you need to point it at the subject, the results are fine.

I've used the pro-max system for a while, including using the inserts when the ceiling is too high. Works great. I just got the Sto-fen omnibounce and frankly I'm disappointed. Sure, it's easier to use, but in shots where the pro-max would have given me nice soft shadows, the omnibounce is harsh.
The pro-max velcro does interfere with the Sto-fen, but unless you attach the velcro right at the end, the sto-fen will have enough room to attach and stay on the flash.
