I like the first one, but I think it is a bit underexposed. The last one is pretty good too, but I find the things in the ocean (black triangles) are a bit distracting. The middle ones are nice and sharp, but I think the first and last ones are more interesting.
I suspect the first one is underexposed because the camera's meter was compensating for the sand in the background.

thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it :)
as for the first pic, i have a feeling that i caused the underexposure with PS because the original was VERY bright. i will try to work on it a bit more in PS and see if i can correct it. the last pic, i think i am going to try cropping it right next to the tall building on the left and cut out the entire black area. i have a feeling that it will hurt the pic a bit but it might help with the distracting part..

My thoughts are they are competent shots across a broad variety of scenes. The art is finding something to photograph, or photographing it in a way that is in some way unusual. By that, I mean that keep your attention for a little bit longer than just a record of a scene. It's much easier to say than do and that is why professionals make their living at it.
It usually comes with years of practice or raw talent. I got into photography because it's easy to press the shutter, but finding that killer approach is not nearly so easy.
You have got the technical issues more or less out of the way, now onto the 'art' of it.

thanks Graham. i agree, taking the pics is the easy part, finding the right subject and getting that special angle etc.. is alot harder. out of all the shots i posted, i like the first 2 shots the best. the first one is my favorite althogh it is not technicaly correct...
