Creative, James. I like the composition, but the specular highlights ( from intentionally oversharpening? ) are a bit much for me, as I find they distract from the eye. Perhaps if the eye were brighter this would be less of an issue. You are doing some interesting work!

Just random? Hate to see one when she is really mad! The hair looks a little think to be real or is it just me? Like the concept, but would like to see a little more face.

You are perhaps right about the image being over processed. I however do like the thickened hair, I felt it gave it more interest than what would be the normal "dont take my picture!" shot.

I really appreciate critisicm so any help you can offer is always appreciated.

I think it works pretty well. I like the rough-look-effect.

At the risk of proving my "Geek factor" Sci Fi child hood,. I think the "Over sharpening" adds an element of "artificial - techno - cyber" to it. (sorry,.. I am a treky too)
Particularly the hair starts to look wiry or plastic,...

I like it a lot and see the sharpening as an artisitc choice.
