This photo was taken in a studio using simple lighting and an uncomplicated black background. The models were posed in such a way to incorporate as many triangles into the composition as possible and their toes were pointed to extend the lines of the legs whilst also making their legs look longer.

I reckon it's the sort of shot that should be quite easy to setup without a studio as all that is required is two willing models and a plain background and perhaps a flash.

I'd be interested to hear your feedback on this shot.

It was taken with a Canon 5D, 24-70 L f2.8 USM @ 1/125, f6.3 ISO 100

To start the ball rolling, unusual subject matter, few blown highlights, good symmetry.

Then I am struggling. It's probably great if it was something you were commissioned to do, but doesn't have mass appeal for me.

Let your imagination run wild - that is the answer. What you can't see is probably not as good as your fantasies - Aha!

I agree with Graham about the tonality and symmetry. Points for symmetry and points off for being "too centered" - symmetry wins, because the dynamics suggested by the legs over-ride what would otherwise be too static (compositionally).
