Or "cosplay", is this festival kids do these days, where they dress in costumes like their favorite anime or video games characters.
Pretty interesting. I show you these pics, more for their documentary than their artistic value.
(Somebody you know already is among them ... ;-) )

I was tempted by the title of your thread: no idea what that could mean. But really worth to see! My favorite is #1.

the #1 the best, #2 ok "but", there`s always a but, i would like to see more of a facial expression ( mad , anger, pasion )and the stick she`s holding towards the camera. she should be fighting the camera, nice shots.

Matsuri would mean Festival in Japanese, and cosplay would be the Japanese combination of the words costume and play to mean the Japanese hobby of dressing up in costumes - usually as cartoon characters, but nurses and things apply too!

Great shots! They went all-out on those costumes!
I shot the Anime fest here at the university this year and was a judge for the contest. Had such a fab time! I'd post if I had their permissions to do so.
