Just received word from B&H that my new XT would be here TOMORROW. A day earlier than I thought! Sweet. I can wait....first digital SLR.

It looks like mine will be arriving on Monday. However it is a suprise for my wife for Christmas, sort of, so I am debating on giving it to her earlier so we can get it ready for Christmas morning with our 8 month old daughter. Otherwise we will have to use our P&S.

You HAVE to give that to her early. I mean do you really not want to have those pictures of your little one? In a sense, your wife will get 2 presents...a new camera and a lifetime of GREAT memories. Don;t drop the ball on this one...GIVE IT TO HER.

I probably will. I'm waiting for the right time. She is a fanatic for being suprised on Christmas Day though and this would be an awesome suprise.

True, I will probably have to give it to her as close to Christmas as possible, while still being able to learn the camera.

The XT is great! Just upgraded from a G2... this form is really a wealth of information...!
