I just can not explain it.....one either finds that image stupid&funny or stupid&not-funny.:D

I don't think it's stupid. It's a nice picture with a very comfortable atmosphere. (the painters finished there work. the photographer finished his work. They dropped there tools there and now they are sitting in a nice cafe ;) )

But...ähm...*grabs Petkal's 20D and runs away*

I think Count Zero is getting close to my idea. But others are certainly possible. The inability to establish good general focus and background with expensive equipment is a very funny one too.
I am almost sure some other folks like Falkon (If I remember properly he was going to paint his 17-40 white ?) , Dante, Condyk would find the image funny in their own way.

I'd prefer not to brush up against the whole philosophical funny-not funny debate. There is too much danger of simply glossing over the key issues and so losing focus on what is before us. It is what it is and what it is not. It is a non image that is simple to perceive. The craft is self evident.

Although I can't say that I "get it", I can say that I like it. I had to take a second look when I saw it to take it in. I find the subject contrast amusing.

Ummm...

I think it might be poking fun at those folks who actually use the lens caps thingys instead of soring them with the box etc.

This just seems rude to me. Maybe I am missing the intent of the poster but just comes across rude to me.
