Hi,

I am a happy user of an IXUS300; perfect in everything, except it broke one of my ribs, skiing... it was stronger than my ribs!

Now, I have upgraded to the new IXUS 400 (or S400), but I have read that Zoombrowser 4.0 is worse, so I plan to stay with ZB 3.2 which is working perfectly on my XP Professional.

Question to the gurus of this forum: What should I do for continue using ZB3.2?. Have I to install a new driver or twain thing? I have installed nothing yet and XP recognises the camera, but Zoombrowser does not. Any advice, please :-)

I think you'll probably need to install the version of ZB4 that came with your camera so that your cam will be detected for downloading images. You can, however, purchase a card reader and use ZB3 instead if you'd like. The other option you have is to install ZB4 to a different location (not c:\program files\canon), so that you can use the new ZB for downloading and use the other one for whatever else you use it for. Personally, I think Canon made a huge improvement when they put out ZB4. The downloading is a lot faster, and the database is much more stable.

Thank a lot for your answer, Johnny
In fact I tried to use ZB3 but, as you sugested, it was unable to find the camera...
So, I jumped into ZB4.0 which is nicer but much less comfortable than ZB3.2 IMHO for that I use the most: SlideShow and sending reduced copies by e-mail.

Now, I tend to use more the XP fonctionality, which is OK with the Powertoy Resize photo option. Lets hope that our friends of Canon will fix those small details...
