For some reason i prefare the first, is seems to be a little sharper and there are more shades of colour in the smoke

Yeah, I think I would have cropped right around the top-right corner of the first image, there's some nice texture there. The 2nd one is interesting, has this almost neon-glow spine to it where the whites blow out from the contrast being pumped - but I still prefer the first.

yeah, well that is the PS filter I used. :lol:


i'm having fun putting color filters in front of it, the red one looks really nifty.
