I just saw a brandless 58mm circular polorizer for ~$23 (prob. made in Taiwan), I am planning to buy it but I don't know if I can trust the quality.

Do you think I should?

A lot depends on how much of a gambler you are. I would not buy it. You get what you pay for.

Also you will always question the quality of a brandless cirdcular polarizer unless you have a good one to compare it with.

Treat yourself good. Buy a proven product.

[By the way - advice is pretty cheap and easy to come by].

Unless the vendor has a reasonable return policy, I would skip it.

I think it's better to get a known, good brand. Doesn't have to be the best of the best, but at least know what you're buying...

hmm sound advices, what are the common prices for good circular polorizers?

Thanks =)

Also the vendor I visited has a very good reputation, I couldn't believe why they would stock up unknown brands..

Well I guess everyone's hungry for money these days

I saw them ranging from about $25 to $50 recently at a local store here in Southern Ca. These were from Hoya.

At that cheap price, there is no excuse to pinch pennies.

Yup...I have mine arriving from BHVideo this week. Ordered it from them to save tax and because I had another item that I was ordering anyway.

Going to Hawaii (Kauai) this summer, and want to be ready for those shots over the beautiful blue ocean... :-)
