Spent a pleasant Sunday in Gale Rigg Forest in North Yorkshire covering the Malton Forest Rally

Thanks for the comments, I think the only thing that beats a MKII sideways is a MKI;)

The story about the Porsche is that he bought it accident damaged and rally prepared it not taking a new Porsche and stripping it down, he normally only does a couple of events a year in it

Great shots. It's a labour of love being out in weather like that! I'd guess that the Lancer in photo number one spat itself out of the ditch and the tail flicked around nicely for the left-hander?

Yes the guy in the first photo did manage to get out of the ditch he just kept his foot in and powered out, to give him his dues it was the first time out in the car, he is more used to his ex Petter Solberg Impreza WRC;)

You are correct a MK1 was born to hang the tail out .

I wondered about the porche on a Q and you dont see that many in rallies :D
