Hi All

I posted this pic in the people forum and sony23 (aka Bruce) post processed it to remove the wall from the back ground

So the challenge is - what can you do, the scope is up to you "Guys n Gals", change the background, clone out the wall etc etc

If it helps the zipped raw and the jpg can be down load from here but note the file sizes are 7MB and 3MB respectively

RAW (http://www.malpas.com/canon/test/testraw.zip)
JPG (http://www.malpas.com/canon/test/testjpg.jpg)

Go and give it your best shot

Cheers

I get such a kick from all of you wizards. LOL It's fun to see what you guys come up with. I like the white one. . . the end.

Another attempt. I think I prefer this one to the yellow and white one.
But there is a little more work on the hair selection to do.

Wonderful

What are you using to cut Harriet out - I have had a go with the extract filter and the magic wand but can't get as accurate as these

Any tips welcom

I also used selection by colour range, and then fine-tuned the selection manually...

I bet the HK skyline looked very different in 1985... That photo was last June, and they're building another "tallest" skyscraper now...

I tried removing the background using the color range method, but could make nothing much of it. I'm a total novice with this stuff, any chance you guys could post the step by step stages you took to do it, as I'm keen to learn, but seem to be struggling a bit. Thanks.

Had a quick play with this one. Layer levels are not right, but it didn't turn out too bad
