Hi,
Every photo is linked with the place where it was taken, both physically and in your memory. Panoramio (http://www.panoramio.com) helps you to link photos and places.
The advantages of this site are:
- It's free. No hosting limit for your photos.
- You can retreive the pictures in original size (in Flickr you have to pay for that), so you don't need to keep the original copy
- Since photos and locations are linked you will never forget where you took the photos.
- Personal areas (e.g. my personal area (http://www.panoramio.com/photo/user.php?id=7))
- You can easily track and show the routes you followed, no need to explain to your friend where is that place anymore (e.g. Turquino Trail (http://www.panoramio.com/#lt=20.013355&ln=-76.857605&z=6&k=2&user=0) in Cuba)
- You can embedd Panoramio in your own site (http://www.panoramio.com/blog/embedding-panoramio/)
- Possibility to comment the pics
- You can also see your pics displayed in Google Earth application.
Hope you like it,
Eduardo
