This is moday's Q327-12 westbound to chicago. looks like it had to go through a lot of drifts, the front plow is all covered in snow. Would have been a nice train to shot west of town, but than I would have missed the Q216-12 that I posted the other day.

No those are a little small for me. I think they are a squirrel or smoething like that.

Yep it does, we average one train an hour in Plymouth.

Watching trains is like camping, your away from everything, all by your self etc

I've never really though much about the deeper meaning of train watching, but I think it has something to do with watching these huge machines approach, seemingly from nowhere. They are big, noisy, make the ground shake, and seem to defy the laws of physics. In a few minutes, they're gone, and everything is quiet again. It's like they were never there. When I was a child, I remembering wondering where they had been, and where they were going. Pretty neat stuff.
