I know the wires are distracting to an extent but w/o them the picture looks kinda odd. I like the intentness in his eyes is why I posted this one.

I like his eyes also and the talons but I don't like the red/green noise in his feathers. I would crop that wire and hardware, really detracts IMHO. I have trouble with that noise in dark areas but my filter softens the image so I almost never use it. I think there are some good plug in noise filters but I don't have one.

Wow, a really nice shot! I love the eyes of a Bald Eagle and this captures them nicely (as well as those huge talons!)

Good shot ... the wire doesn't bother me all that much in that it gives a point of reference from where the bird took off.

cheers,
jim

Wonderful and powerful looking bird, nice catch of it too Blue. I'm not a fan of urban looks to wildlife images but I have to agree I think it wouldn't look quite right without some other point of reference. The colour noise noise doesn't seem that bad to me, I take it the image was lightend to show more detail ? I prefer this to a deep shadowed area without detail so it works for me Blue.

Thanks for the input all. If I ever post something and you think it stinks please tell me it stinks. You folks are the only ones that see my pictures other then my wife and she just nods and says "yes dear".

Mitcon, you nailed it. I wanted to be able to see under his wings so I used the shadow/highlight tool. My tiff fille looks a whole lot better because I spent a little more time on it after I converted a file for the web.
