About to buy a tripod, but

I'm 6 foot and I can't decide on the Giottos MT-8170 or Giottos MT-8180. Any other 6 footers out there than can offer some advice.

Read it so far, but not helping me any. Never owned a tripod and the stores around me don't carry much of anything worth driving to look at.

I'm not sure about that brand, having never seen one. I had the same question when I was buying a tripod because I'm 6'2". My Manfrotto tripod is a perfect height.

I'm glad I'm short, 5'2". My son is 6'3" and he can't use any of my gear without bending over.;)
